Behind the Lens
Alexandra Cordero is a filmmaker, multimedia producer, and digital strategist passionate about shaping stories that inspire and connect. Based in North Carolina, she earned her MFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she refined her craft in narrative direction, immersive media, and editing.
Storytelling runs in her family legacy as a granddaughter of Francisco “Paquito” Cordero, Puerto Rico’s pioneer television producer. Inspired by his groundbreaking career, Alexandra continues that tradition, blending heritage with innovation as she carves her own path in film and digital media.
Her creative foundation began in live productions, theater, and television, experiences that gave her an early understanding of performance, staging, and broadcast storytelling. These roots later evolved into a career that bridges filmmaking, journalism, and marketing.
She held internships with Veronica Medium and Martínez & Aponte Publishing producing investigative features for Semilla Magazine, branded campaigns, digital and educational content that combined strong visual storytelling with editorial and strategic depth. These formative experiences also introduced her to collaborations with directors, renowned artists, and high-profile productions, sharpening her skills across both creative and commercial media.
Professionally, Cordero has worked on television pilots, branded promos, and high-profile commercials, including projects alongside acclaimed filmmakers. Her work moves seamlessly between narrative and commercial, always balancing artistry with strategic impact.
Building on these experiences, she founded Cordero Media Creations, dedicated to bold storytelling, strategic marketing, and real growth. Through this platform, she unites her filmmaking expertise with digital strategy, offering clients cinematic promos, branded campaigns, and social media solutions designed to amplify stories across platforms.
